It all started with a simple desire: to be able to play music you love.
In 2007, after hearing a keyboard player perform Il est 5 heures, Paris s'éveille, Florent searched for the sheet music that would allow him to recreate what he had just heard. But he quickly faced a frustrating reality: the sheet music was not available as individual sheet music, only as part of a songbook that had to be ordered.
A passionate self-taught pianist, Florent imagined a new way of accessing sheet music: allowing musicians to easily find a specific piece of sheet music, purchase it individually online, and do so while respecting copyright laws.
Sarah, a passionate accordionist, shared the same vision and joined him to create Quickpartitions.
From the very beginning of the project, they worked closely with music publishers to obtain the necessary permissions to make their catalogues available online.
At that time, solutions already existed in North America, but none were dedicated to French-language sheet music.
Quickpartitions was born, with its first slogan: “Le portail de la partition digitale française”.
